Michael Jakel

We wish to thank, in particular, Walter and Anne Hiebert, good friends of Mike's mother May and the host of Island Health medical teams for their years of dedicated care and support.

Born in the Okanagan Valley (Kelowna) Mike lived most of his life on his much loved Vancouver Island. He raised his family in Campbell River and his girls were the love of his life.

Ironically Mike ended his working days in the healthcare field prior to his illness.

His professional career as a truck driver, for Superior Propane, a proud family tradition, allowed him to work and live in several Vancouver Island Communities, including Greater Victoria and Campbell River.

He is survived by his beloved wife Crystal, and daughter Kimberly and daughters Melissa and Samantha and their mother Shannon and his father Barry (Maria).

His all too soon passing touches all who loved and knew him.

An intimate service will be held in his honour at First Memorial located at 4725 Falaise Drive, Victoria, BC, on June 25, 2022 at 11am with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation in his name to a charity of your choice.
