Olly was born the 13th child of the Scott-Polson pioneer family in March 1930 in South Saanich. She is survived by her sister May Allen; her children Rick (Wanda), Bonnie, Rusty (Cher), Sandy (Bill), Janine (Bruce), Valeta (Lorenzo) and step-daughter Vivienne; her 12 grand children Travis, Mike (Cynthia), Victoria (Lyle), Nicholas (Lindsay), Duncan (Julina), Stephanie (Steve), Morgan (Andrew), Hayley, Darius, Chynna-Loren, Emma, and Leila (Huseyin); and her 9 great grandchildren: Ben, Daisy, Jack, Sienna, Michael, Josiah, Addison, Sam, and Charlotte.
Olive loved children. After raising her own, she opened Nana’s Day Care in Port Alberni, consequently nurturing children for over 50 years.
A service will be held at First Memorial (4725 Falaise Drive, Victoria, B.C.) on Saturday, January 20th, 2018 at 2:00 pm.
