

He was married to Marni Siddons for 36 years. Peter was born in Bournemouth, England and came to Canada with his parents in 1948. He was the son of Philip (Dennis) and Mary Siddons.
In addition to his wife Marni, Peter is survived by his step daughter Holli Ward, her husband Sean, and grandson Connor, step son Owen Robertson, his wife Deanna, and grand daughters Grace and Anna and grandson Ben.
Peter was raised in West Vancouver attending West Vancouver High School. He became a licensed automotive mechanic and through the University of British Columbia obtained his Vocational Instructors Diploma. After working in Europe as a racing mechanic, and in B.C. as an automotive mechanic, in 1985 he joined Honda Canada as a Corporate Technical Instructor. He developed the Honda apprenticeship program at BCIT and taught classes in dealerships all across Canada.
Before joining Honda, Peter was active in the car racing community and in 1975 he was awarded Overall Sports Racing Champion by the Sports Car Club of B.C. He formed his own racing team and spent many enjoyable hours racing at the Westwood Track and others across Canada and the United States.
After he wound down his car racing activities he took up sailing and joined the Tiddly Cove Yacht Club followed by joining the West Vancouver Yacht Club in 1988. Peter raced his sailboats for many years and after retiring from Honda, he and Marni sailed their 42ft Beneteau, "2 Pieces of Eight" from Victoria to Mexico where they cruised for many years.
The family want to thank the Community Care and Wound Care nurses in Saanichton for their care and kindness, as well as the doctors at the Victoria Cancer Agency.
The family requests memorial donations be made to the B.C. Cancer Foundation to support research.
