Robert was predeceased by his first wife, Edna and son, Bruce. He is survived by his loving wife, Verna; four children: Joette (Gary), Richard (Zari), Brady (Ruby) Chryseis and Doug; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three step-children: Keith (Grace), Karen (Kern) and Ken (Debra) as well as seven step-grandchildren and one great step- grandchild. Robert was a WW2 Veteran and served in the RCN for 25 years. He was also a Supervisor of newsstands with BC Ferries. He was a longtime member of the Square and Round Dance Community. A traveler and dancer, he will be sadly missed by his family and friends. A Memorial Service will be held at First Memorial Funeral Services, 4725 Falaise Drive, Victoria on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at 2:00 pm.
