

Russell Edward Rodgers peacefully passed away in his home in Victoria, BC on December 27.
Left to mourn are his brother Albert, children Brad and Dianne, step-children Yolanda (Jamie) and Lance (Deanne), daughter-in-law Lisa, grand children Gabrielle, Emma, Ryan (Keila), Robbie, Jacob (Hope), Hannah, Wyatt (Ellen), Cooper, and Great Grandchild Olivene.
Russ was predeceased by his parents Clarence & Mary Rodgers, brother Thomas, sister Margaret, wife Sharon Rodgers, son Randy, and life partner Carol Pickering.
Born in Wainwright, Alberta, Russ left home at 16 and made his way to Victoria. He spent his career as a horticulturalist with the City of Victoria. Retired in 1995 as Supervisor of the Parks Department, Russ was particularly proud of his role in the planning and construction of the walking path along Dallas Road. He enjoyed watching football and hockey.

A a celebration of life for Russell will be held Thursday, January 5, 2023 at 2:00 PM at First Memorial Funeral Services, 4725 Falaise Drive, Victoria, British Columbia V8Y1B4.
