Shirley was born in Watseka Illinois on March 21, 1934, and peacefully passed away on November 15, 2022, at age 88. Shirley was pre-deceased by her son Hugh Archbold on August 27, 2022, and her first husband Geoffrey Archbold on April 11, 1990. Shirley is survived by her son Godfrey Archbold, daughter-in-law Inez Archbold, grandson Stephen Kelly, his wife Consuelo Alfaro, and their children Mason and Jorja. Shirley is also survived by her friend Simon Roberts and her cousin Ruth Klekamp.
Shirley will be remembered for her kindness and the enjoyment that her pet cockatiels brought to her life. She was particularly proud of her time as an instructor at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology. She was an avid walker and enjoyed watching movies.
The family would like to express our appreciation to the staff at the Summit long-term care facility for their compassionate care of Shirley at the end of her life.
