Born in Montreal, he lived and worked in Vancouver and Victoria as a Childcare worker, LPN(Royal Jubilee Emergency) social service worker (Streetlink Shelter).
Steve was a martial arts student, gourmet cook and maker of pies, both sweet and savoury. Always a dog lover, he was paired with his PTSD service dog, Kira(National Service Dogs) in 2021, improving life for him immeasurably.
Steve is predeceased by his parents, Robert O’Brien and Nora Eileen O’Brien (nee Victor). He is survived by his wife, Kathy Cruzelle, his cousin Linda Conelly and his service dog NSD Kira.
