Our feisty and fabulous mom was someone to celebrate, so it is fitting she passed on a day of celebrating women. Mom was born in The Pas, Manitoba to a pioneering family. She married the love of her life, Raymond La Charite, with whom she shared adventures travelling and exploring the Canadian West Coast in their boat.
Mom loved art, theatre and especially writing poetry. Her poems reflected life growing up in the Canadian North, her love of nature, spirituality and her deep love for her children. We will miss you TLC!
Tanis is predeceased by her husband Raymond La Charite; parents Florence and Larry Williamson; sister Marion Edwards and brother Patrick Williamson; brother-in-law Jack Edwards and her sister-in-law Laura Williamson.
Tanis is survived by with love, Bruce Williamson(brother); children Jay (sandi), Kim (Doug), Reid, Hollis (Peter); grandkids; Jamey (Keely), Ryan, Jason, Brea (Mike), Michael and Danielle (Alex); great grandkids Willa, Hayden, Bodhi and Heath.
A Celebration of Life will be held at First Memorial Services on Saturday March 25, 2023 at 11:00am.
A donation in Tanis' memory may be made to The Salvation Army.
