He was born in Oslo, Norway in 1951 and moved to Calgary, Canada in 1978 and then moved to Victoria, BC in 2014.
Trond made a difference to everyone he met. Whether it be through his friendships, sales career or through his timeless volunteer work. He enjoyed playing golf and following several sports teams. He played soccer in the 2016 and 2017 55+ Senior BC Games. He loved to travel and explore off the beaten path.
His dearest friends, so many to name, will tell you of his crazy Norwegian sense of humour!
I am proud to share Trond was involved with so many charities (17) over the years both in Calgary and Victoria of his own initiative and through his involvement with Kiwanis and Rotary.
Trond was predeceased by his parents Gerd Synøve (Hagen) and Rolf Oddvar Holtbu.
He is survived by his best friend and wife of 29 years, Teri, our children Ken (Charlene), Vicky (Noé), Linda (Jaz), Brett (Carolyn) and Staci along with our grandchildren Noah and Sofia. He will also be missed by our family in Norway, Sisters; Tone (Arvid) and Tine (Arild) and many nephews.
“Every day is a good day, just some are more challenging”
A Celebration of Life will be held in Victoria and Calgary on a date yet to be decided.
