She is survived by her daughters, Jeanene Tipton of California, Sondra Pena of Victoria; son, Donald Gene (Teresa) Otto of Inez; brother, Edwin Stary of Victoria; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Otto was preceded in death by her husband; Anton Robert Otto; daughter, Jeanette Wearden; sisters, Mary Otto, Christine Blevins, Gladys Stary Leita and brothers, Matej Stary, Jim Stary and Valideck Stary.
Agnes lived a long and productive life. She raised four healthy children, making sure they were always cared for and well-fed. She maintained a vegetable garden and kept a spotless home well into her 90’s. Her son commented that she was a hard worker, ”always on top of everything”. Her sister said “she gets things done”.
Agnes Otto was a successful business woman, working beside her husband, Anton in the lumber business, as well as running a farm and ranch operation.
Her nurse commented that she had a remarkably sharp mind at almost 97 years of age.
She left the challenges of this world, very organized. May she rest in peace.
Visitation will be Friday, December 27, 2019 from 5-7 PM at Rosewood Funeral Chapels with a rosary to be recited at 7 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 AM on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with burial to follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Kolle Otto, Dustin Otto, Toby Stary, Larry Stary, Daren Otto and John Swanson.
