Alice Lucille Harper

Alice Lucille Tait Harper, 95, passed away on December 2, 2017. She was born May 17, 1922 in Telferner, Texas to the late Collie E. and Elnora Fredwood Tait. She married F.M. Harper in 1950 and they celebrated 45 years of marriage before he passed away in 1995. She worked at the Victoria Cab Co. for several years and was a homemaker. Alice was a member of the First Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, F.M. Harper; brothers, Lester, Percy, Cleo, and Elmer Tait; sisters, Myrtle Tait Gibbons and Janie Tait Schmidt Malter; and loving nephews, Lester Tait, Jr., James, Charles, Gary, and Bruce Tait.

Survived by her nieces and nephews, John (Mary) Tait, Sandra Tait MacIver, Charlotte Tait (Lawrence) Richter, Larry (Flo) Tait, Shirley Gibbons (James) Pope, Glenn (Nancy) Schmidt, Randall (Ann) Schmidt, Roger (Sara) Schmidt, Colleen Tait (Robert) Cook, Kenneth (Patty) Tait, and Sally Tait; and many great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 12 to 2pm on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel followed by the Funeral Service at 2:00 pm, Rev. Jim Shamburger presiding. Burial will be held at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church, Victoria.
