Andrew “Andy” Michael Stepanski, 73, of San Antonio, passed away on Monday, June 6, 2022 in Victoria. Andy was born in Yorktown, Texas to the late Martin Michael and Leona Rohan Stepanski on December 7, 1948. He graduated from Calhoun High School and South West Texas State University and began his career of teaching. He retired from the San Antonio Independent School District.
He was a practical joker with a generous heart of gold. He never hesitated to help people out. Because he was a big kid at heart, his niece, nephew and grandnieces adored him, along with all his cousins and multiple close friends.
Family was so important to Andy, he researched the family genealogy and was the historian and photographer at family functions and reunions.
He is survived by his niece; Camille Groll Seals and her husband Mike of Goliad, nephew; Dennis ‘Bubba” Groll, Jr. of Victoria, brother-in-law; Dennis Groll, Sr. of Victoria, his very beloved grandnieces; Courtney, Shiloh, and Kylee Seals, whom he adored with all of his heart, his best friend; Saul Munoz of San Antonio, and a host of other friends and extended family, all of whom will cherish his memory.
In addition to his parents, Andy is preceded in death by his sister, Theresa Stepanski Groll.
Celebration of Life services will be held at a later date.
