It is with great sadness that the family of Annie Marie Dusek Cribb announces her passing on Thursday, February 21, at the age of 85. Annie was born June 30, 1933, to Frank Henry and Beatrice Vanek Dusek in Victoria, Texas. Annie married Vance N. Cribb, Jr., a pilot in the United States Air Force, on April 28, 1957, at Foster Field AFB.
Prior to her marriage, and after Vance retired, Annie worked at Victoria Bank and Trust. Throughout their marriage they lived in England, France, and Germany, as well as various places in the United States. Annie was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and created a loving home everywhere they lived. She loved to cook and entertain for her family and many friends. She also served her community through both the Luncheon Pilot Club of Victoria and the Pilot Club of Victoria. She served as president three times, and took great pride and joy in planning and overseeing the Annual Bridal Showcase.
In addition to her parents, Annie was preceded in death by her sister, Beatrice “Sis” Dusek, and brother, Frank “Sonny” Dusek. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Vance; children Carol Marroquin and husband Ronnie, Sherrie Kroll and husband Wayne, Vance Cribb III and wife Cindy, and Linda Janecek and husband Stephen; grandchildren Savannah, Kevin, Kayla, Kristin, Kathryn, Sydney, Tanner, Bradley and Michael; great grandchildren Mischay and Julian; siblings Helen Walker, James Dusek and Frances Pope.
A Funeral Service in memory of Annie will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at 10:00 AM, at Rosewood Funeral Chapel, 3304 E. Mockingbird Lane, Victoria, Texas. Interment will be at Shillerville Cemetery.
