

Beatrice Shafer Tinker, 93, of Victoria passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2013. She was born May 3, 1919, in Pawhuska, Oklahoma to the late John B. and Eva Lillie Ikenberry Faubion. She was retired from DeTar Hospital where she worked as an emergency room nurse for many years. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Bloomington, and later Baptist Temple in Victoria.
Survivors include her sons, Bobby Shafer and his wife, Mary K., and Dean Shafer and his wife, Sharyl, all of Victoria, and Mike Shafer and his wife, Cheryl, of Sugar Land; eight grandchildren, Stacey and John Cartwright, Beaver and Kimberly Shafer, Jason, Justin and Clint Shafer, Natalie and Jess Gingrich, Tenille and Kyle Adamcik and Lexi Shafer; and eleven great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert L. Shafer and Edward E. Tinker; and a brother, Jack Faubion.
Visitation will be from 6:00-7:00 pm Thursday, January 17, 2013, at Rosewood Funeral Chapel.
Funeral services will be at 10 am Friday, January 18, 2013, at Rosewood Funeral Chapel, Rev. J. V. Helms and Rev. Gary Bowman officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Justin Shafer, Clint Shafer, Beaver Shafer, John Cartwright, Jess Gingrich and Kyle Adamcik.
