Delores was a lifelong Catholic devoted to her faith and family. She was an active member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Victoria, Texas, and St. Cornelius Catholic Church in Karnes City, Texas. Delores graduated from Karnes City High School and Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. As a professional educator, she taught in several elementary schools in Victoria I.S.D. Teaching children was her passion, and she always found ways to include some educational activities and games when her nieces, nephews, and grandchildren visited.
At the beginning of her teaching career, she met Tommy Sisti from Victoria. They were married on July 17th, 1954. They both had successful careers and raised two children, Scott and Leanne, in Victoria. After she retired, she spent more time on their farm in Karnes City helping Tommy and enjoying time with their grandchildren.
Delores’s greatest joy was being with her grandchildren. She loved them all individually. She was so patient and caring and made sure they all felt her love.
