Diana Kaye Westerman Dentler, age 77, of Victoria, passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, in San Antonio’s Pam Acute Specialty Hospital. She was born on November 13, 1948, in Victoria to the late Tommie Lee Westerman and Bernice Willemin Westerman.

Diana lived on the family ranch all her life, except for 12 years when she was first married. She loved the outdoors. Her favorite pastime was watching the deer and cows graze as she swung in her porch swing and played with the family dog, Atreus.
Diana retired after 32 years from the City of Victoria Water Department. She then worked at the Warm Springs Business Office for 5 years and, finally, at the Victoria Eye Center on Laurent St. for 3 years. She finally retired at age 70. At age 73, she was diagnosed with ALS and fought a 16-month battle with a smile on her face, determination, and a positive attitude. She was a resident of The Rio on Mission Trail in San Antonio.
Her funeral will be on Friday, February 6, 2026, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Visitation will be at 1:15 pm, rosary at 1:30, and funeral mass at 2 pm. Burial to follow at Memory Gardens. Father Pat is officiating.

The family would like to thank everyone who came to San Antonio to visit during her 16-month battle. She loved the company. We also want to thank the DeTar ICU caretakers, Citizens Pam Rehab Caretakers, The Rio on Mission Trail San Antonio Caretakers, and the Pam Acute Care Specialty Hospital San Antonio staff for the wonderful, loving care they provided. Your Excellent care gave us 16 months to pamper her with love before God called her home.
