

Diana Keeran Koontz Massey was called home November 6, 2012. She was born on December 13, 1930, to Henry Clay and Armel Keeran Koontz of Inez. Diana attended Nazareth Academy and graduated from the University of the Incarnate Word in 1951 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. She married Robert “Bob” Massey on December 7th, 1952. Diana was a devout member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Inez, who served faithfully as a CCD teacher and Eucharistic Minister of the Sick. She was a member of the Legion of Mary, Catholic Daughters, Court of St. Ann, Altar Society, Junior Service League, United Daughters of the Confederacy, Daughters of the American Revolution and Daughters of the Republic of Texas.
Diana was a very creative and artistic lady. She was known for her generosity and love toward her family and community.
Diana is survived by her sister, Emily Dial of San Antonio, her children, Robert Massey (Maddeline), Sherrice Judd (Russell), Carolyn Strnadel (CJ III), Clay Massey (Melinda), Diann Marlow (Dave), Mary Ann Tucker (David), fourteen grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Bob, and sister, Carolyn Koontz, brother, Henry Clay Koontz and grandson, CJ Strnadel IV.
Visitation will be held at Rosewood Funeral Home on Friday, November 9, 2012, starting at 5:30 p.m., with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 am on Saturday, November 10th at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Inez with internment following at Resurrection Cemetery in Victoria.
Pallbearers are grandsons, Henry Holland, Byron Holland, Billy Massey, Clayton Massey, Clinton Massey, John Michael Massey and Jake Massey. Honorary pallbearers will be grandson, Robert Marlow and granddaughters, Amy Montalvo, Meagan Massey, Jennifer Kaune, Dee Ann Stastny , Sarah Tucker and Kate Tucker.
