

Dorothy Nell Robbins Pittman Botard, 85, of Victoria, Texas, passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2013, at Heritage Oaks Assisted Living in Conroe, Texas. She was born on March 9, 1928, to T.C. and Leta Robbins. She graduated from Dublin High School and attended Texas Women’s University. She married Luther Pittman in 1946, and they lived in Vanderbilt, Wharton, and eventually Edna, Texas. She lost her beloved husband in 1971. Five years later, she married the second love of her life, Lee Emmett Botard. Dorothy & Lee lived in Edna and Brady before moving to Victoria in 2000.
Dorothy worked for Jackson County State Bank in Edna, Texas, and she also served as the church pianist in Vanderbilt, and at First Baptist Church in Edna, Texas. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, reading, working crossword puzzles, and loving everyone she knew.
Dorothy is survived by her 3 sons, Larry Pittman and wife Susan of New Caney, Texas; Donnie Pittman and wife Terry of Conroe, Texas; David Pittman and wife Melanie of Houston, Texas; 2 step sons, Norman Lee Botard and wife Loni of Sheridan; Mack Emmett Botard and wife Sandra of Oakwood; 3 step daughters, Marilyn Leath Murphy and husband James of Sheridan; Beatrice Frizane and husband Paul of Phoenix, Arizona; and Leatrice Heinold of Louisiana; sister, Ellaneita Keenum of Dallas, Texas; 6 grandchildren, 10 step grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Dorothy was preceded in death by: 1st husband, Luther W, Pittman; 2nd husband Lee Botard; parents, and 1 sister, Grace Marie Stephen.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, December 15, 2013 from 6 to 8 pm at Colonial Funeral Home. The Service will be conducted on Monday, December 16, 2013, 1 pm at First Baptist Church, Edna, TX, Revs. Dr Rodney McGlothlin and Dr James McGlothlin officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Edna.
Pallbearers: Bret Botard, David Murphy, Christopher Pittman, Michael Rainey, Matthew Rice, Dustin Young.
Honorary Pallbearers: Joe Briseño and Adam Smith.
