

She was a member of the Blyth Road Church of Christ. She was a retired secretary from Central Church of Christ, and Victoria Christian School. She was also a member of the International Society of Poets. She enjoyed writing and reading poetry. She loved her family with all her heart, and especially loved the time she spent with her grandson. She was very special to her family, and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her son, David Roy Pilgrim and wife Debbie of Rockport; grandson, Roy C. Pilgrim of Placedo; daughter-in-law, Hope Pilgrim of Placedo; sister, Ella Mae Schlechte and husband Wesley; and nephew, Rodney Schlechte, all of Houston.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roy W. Pilgrim; and her son, Ricky Charles Pilgrim.
Visitation will begin at 9:00 am Wednesday. Funeral Services will follow at 10:00 am Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at the Colonial Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Will McDonald, minister of Blyth Rd. Church of Christ, officiating. Graveside Services will be held 2:30 pm Wednesday at the Prairie Lea Cemetery in Brenham, Texas. Serving as pallbearers will be David Pilgrim, Roy Pilgrim, Robbie Sparks, Louis Faltesek, Glyn Jolly, and Rodney Schlechte. Honorary pallbearers include Clyde Douglas and Wesley Schlechte.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Blyth Road Church of Christ, Alzheimer’s Association, or the American Cancer Society / Breast Cancer Research.
