Mrs Dorothy L Boyd Reese

Victoria - Dorothy L. Reese passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2015 at the age of 93. She was born March 18, 1922 in Hanley, Texas (Tarrant Co.) to Arthur Bernice and Minnie Elizabeth Hill Boyd. On April 19, 1942 she married Barney Edward Reese. They were married 57 years.

Dorothy was a homemaker, retired from the catalog department of Sears, Roebuck and Company. She was a volunteer for 25 years at Citizens Memorial Hospital as a Pink Lady.

Dorothy is survived by daughters: Nancy Reese Jackson and husband Jerry, and Suzanne (David) Wearden. Grandchildren: Denise (Mark) Tom, Heather (Steven) Linscott, Amy (Thomas) Gwosdz and Brian Wearden. Great-grandchildren: Bianca Tom, Wade and Haley Linscott, Owen, Abigail, Carson, Cullen and Ethan Gwosdz.. Nieces: Patsy Newman, Cindy Newman and Margaret Hudson. Nephews: Jimmy Boyd and Joe Boyd. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers: Bert, J.B., Rube, Leonard, and Wayne Boyd, and sister: Fannie Mae Curtis. Visitation will be on Monday, April 13, 2015, 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. at Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home in Henderson, Texas. Graveside services will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Henderson, with Pastor Dwain Knight officiating.

Pallbearers will be Brian Wearden, Mark Tom, Thomas Gwosdz, Steven Linscott, Owen Gwosdz and Wade Linscott. Arrangements under the direction of Rosewood Funeral Chapels.
