Estelle Pargmann Clapp Janssen

Estelle Pargmann Clapp Janssen, 76, passed away on Monday, May 23, 2016, in Victoria, Texas. She was born September 29, 1939, in Runge, Texas to Gerhard and Regina Kruse Pargmann. She lived a life of devotion to her Lutheran faith and dedication to her large extended family.

Estelle was preceded in death by her parents; Grandparents Dietrich & Mary Koehler Pargmann, Rudolph & Helen Brieger Kruse; and first husband, Donald Bruce Clapp.

She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Nelson Janssen; Daughter, Pamela Edge (David) of Victoria; Sons, Norman Clapp (Holly) of Corpus Christi, and Darrell Clapp of Houston. Grandchildren, Megan Edge, Jenica Barnard (Brandt), Matthew Edge, Bridget Clapp and Bethany Clapp; Sisters, Helen Marie Wilder (Raymond) of Corpus Christi, Zelda Oelrich (Frederick) of Stafford, VA, and Ada DeWalt (Steve) of Corpus Christi.

She is survived by extended family whom she loved dearly; Children of her first husband, Rhonda Hale (Sterling) of Meridian and Beverly Hauge (Erik) of Schaumburg, IL; Grandchildren, Jennifer Plant (John), Ryan Lopez, Justin Hauge, Dylan Hauge, and Karson Hauge; Great-Grandchildren, Morgan Plant and Heather Plant.

She is also survived by Nelson’s family who filled her heart with joy. Cheryl Green of Victoria, Jana Gossett (Charles) of Victoria, Natalan Mayer (Wayne) of Inez, and Chris Janssen (J.J.) of Victoria; Grandchildren, Lauren Becker (Willie), Melanie Green, Stuart Green, Benjamin Gossett (Jordan), Bethany Gossett, Stephanie Mayer, Hannah Mayer, Johnathan Mayer, Clayborne Janssen and Bennett Janssen; Great-Grandchildren, Grace Becker and Landon Mayer.

She leaves behind many others who were also special in her life including cousins, brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews and dear friends. Especially Lino and Ana Rodriguez of Victoria and their children Diana Rodriguez, Yareli Rodriguez, Maria Rodriguez and Jesus Rodriguez.

Visitation will be at Christ the Victor Lutheran Church, 202 Stanly, on Wednesday, May 25, 2016, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. The Funeral Service will begin at 2:00 pm on Thursday, May 26, 2016, at Christ the Victor Lutheran Church, Pastor Cheryl Kester-Schmidt officiating. Interment will be Friday, May 27, 2016 at 10:00 am at Seaside Memorial Park in Corpus Christi.

Pallbearers are Willie Becker, Brandt Barnard, Benjamin Gossett, Stuart Green, Matthew Edge, Johnathan Mayer, Clayborne Janssen and Bennett Janssen.

Honorary Pallbearers are Lino Rodriguez, Jessie Armstrong IV, John Plant, Justin Hauge, Dylan Hauge and Karson Hauge.
