Mrs Evelyn Goolsby

Evelyn Goolsby, 88, of Victoria passed away on Monday, February 17, 2014. She was born September 11, 1925 in Ganado, TX to the late W. L. and Frieda Tegeler Zacharias. Mrs. Goolsby graduated from Ganado High School and went onto Durham Business College and received a business degree. She was a secretary and retired after 38 years from Schlumberger Well Service and was a member of First English Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her nieces, Sandra G. (Justin) Roeben of Port Lavaca, Nancy J. (John) Wallace of Victoria; nephews, Michael J. (Dawn) Durham of Victoria, Patrick D. (Dana) Durham of Port Lavaca, John R. (Sissy) Durham of Port Lavaca; sister, Geraldine (James) Durham of Port Lavaca; nine great nieces and nephews and two great great nieces.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Goolsby is preceded in death by her husband Frank L. Goolsby in 1996.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 from 6-7 PM at Rosewood Funeral Chapels. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM on Thursday, February 20, 2014 at First English Lutheran Church with Pastor Jim Pearson officiating. Graveside services and interment will be at 1:30 PM on Thursday at the Ganado Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Mike Durham, Pat Durham, John Durham, John Wallace, Justin Roeben and Ken Hodde.
