Fela Zamarripa Villarreal, 90, of Victoria, passed away on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, in Victoria. She was born in Floresville, Texas on October 20, 1934. Fela was married to the love of her life, Simon B. Villarreal for sixty years, and to this union, four children were born. Throughout her life, Fela worked as an in-home Caretaker and was a devoted housewife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. Fela’s unconditional loves included music, dancing, shopping, family, her puppy, and her grandchildren.
Fela is preceded in death by her loving husband of sixty years, Simon B. Villarreal, son John A. Villarreal, father Fortino Zamarripa, mother Gonzala Zamarripa, and sister Antonia Encinas.
Fela is survived by her daughter, Estella Padilla and her husband Joe Luis Padilla, sons, Simon D. Villarreal and his wife Alice Villarreal, and Ernest Villarreal, her brother, Robert Flores, nine grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren, and her beloved Maltese Shih Tzu granddog (Baby), all of whom will cherish her memory.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 28, 2024, from 5-7 p.m., followed by the recitation of the Rosary at 7 p.m., all at Rosewood Funeral Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at 10 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, immediately followed by interment at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Honoring her by serving as Pallbearers will be Joe Padilla, Marc Solis, Aaron Longoria, Caleb Longoria, Ryan Solis, and John Solis.
