

Floyd M. Kroll, age 85, passed away on January 21, 2013. He was born on September 20, 1927, in Richards, TX, to the late Charlie and Anastasia Kroll Sr. He served in the US Navy aboard the USS Princeton CV-37, and retired from Union Carbide Corporation’s Seadrift Plant after 35 years of service. Floyd enjoyed vacationing in the Rocky Mountains, working in his shop and playing with his grandchildren. He was a member of Our Lady of Victory Cathedral.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Geneva Kroll; sons, Jerry Kroll, Dr. Kenneth Kroll and wife, Kristin of Austin, and Wayne Kroll and wife, Sherrie; daughter, Mary Warner and husband, Tommy; grandchildren, Tom and Sarah Warner, Katherine and Vivian Kroll of Austin and Kevin Kroll; and brother, Charlie Kroll Jr. and wife, Dorothy of Edna.
In addition to his father and mother, Floyd was preceded in death by his stepmother, Clara Kroll and sister, Johanna Cummings.
Visitation will be from 6-7 pm Thursday, January 24, 2013, at Rosewood Funeral Chapel followed by a Rosary at 7 pm.
Funeral services will be at 10 am Friday, January 25, 2013, at Our Lady of Victory Cathedral. Burial with full military honors under the auspices of the Victoria Veterans Council will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
The family would like to thank Health Force Home Health Care, Crown Hospice and Dr. John McNeill for their kind and loving care which were a comfort to both Floyd and his family.
