Freddy Wayne Waitschies, 82, went to be with the lord on July 03, 2024. He is preceded in death by his father Arthur Waitschies, and his mother Rose Waitschies. His brother Lew Waitschies, and his sister Ann Kupfernagel.
Left to honor his memory is his loving wife of 43 years, Mary Waitschies. Freddy and Mary were blessed with a beautiful, blended family. Their children are Deena Sartor and her husband John, Cindy Carnes and her husband Mitch, Marilyn Berwick and her husband Ward, Elaine Witt, Madonna Stanley, and Dwayne Faulkenberry. Together they shared fourteen grandchildren: Tori and husband Stephen, Ben, Landon and wife Leana, Parker, Tiffany and Louis, Samantha, Brooklynn and Matt, Michael and wife Abbey, Leslie and husband Joe, Jason, Tabitha and husband Wesley, Brandon and wife Heidi, and Jason and wife Jovanna. Eight great-grandchildren Lily, Maddox, Harleigh, Braxton, Hudson, Ryan, Reagan, Jayden.
Freddy was a devoted and loving husband, father, friend, and the best Pawpaw the grands and greats could ever have.
Freddy retired from Lyondell Chemical Company and was adventurous, independent, and strong-willed, but he also had an incredibly soft and warm heart. He loved to pick on and aggravate the ones he loved, and we would not expect anything less from him. In his younger years, he loved to play baseball and bowl. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, gardening, shooting, woodworking, and cheering for the Dallas Cowboys.
We find comfort in knowing that Freddy’s legacy will live on through the lessons he taught us, the love he shared, and the memories we will cherish forever.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
