George Andrew Blaha, 90, peacefully departed on Thursday, December 4, 2025, surrounded by family, including his son, Michael Blaha, and daughters, Teresa Blaha, Georgette Rhoden, and Kristal Dimas. He was born on October 6, 1935, in LaGrange, Texas, to Alois and Anastazia (Stazie) Kallus Blaha as the first of two children. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Frank Blaha.
George will be remembered by his spouse, Rose Blaha; cherished by extended family and friends; and honored by the generational legacy of his beloved ten grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Many ballroom dance instructors and students in Victoria, as well as Corpus Christi, may reminisce about dancing with George at Blaha’s Dance Studio, where he taught for many years.
The Celebration of Life Memorial will be held in Victoria at 1:00 on the 20th of December. Arrangements are by Rosewood Funeral Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to any Animal Shelter in his honor.
