

George Anthony Totah, 89, of Victoria, passed away May 8, 2017. George was born August 4, 1927 in Rochester, New York, to the late Peter E. and Miriam Dabis Totah. George served his country in the United States Navy in World War II. He was a graduate of The University of Texas with a degree in pharmacy and was the owner and pharmacist for over 40 years at Totah’s Pharmacy in Victoria. George was a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus, was the secretary of the Northside Rotary for many years and had the longest perfect attendance. He was a member of the Serra Club. George was a founding member of Holy Family Catholic Church and served as a lector and Eucharistic minister.
George is survived by his wife of 39 years, Dee Razook Totah; brother, Albert Totah of Victoria; sister, Jeanette Totah of Victoria; sister-in-law, Carmen Razook of Wichita, KS; nieces and nephews, Denise Totah, Stephanie Totah, Cassandra Garcia, Albert Totah, Jr, all of Victoria, Lisa Brooks of Houston, Sandie Totah Loos of Plano, Scott Razook of Sugarland, Robyn Enright of St. Joseph, Missouri, Melinda Alfs, Bradley Razook both of Wichita, KS, Suzy Lewis of Lawrence, KS, Matthew Razook of Miami, FL, Christopher Razook of China and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
George is preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Robert Razook and sister-in-law, Gwendolyn Totah.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, May 10, 2017 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at Rosewood Funeral Chapel with a rosary to be recited at 7 pm.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, May 11, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Holy Family Catholic Church with Bishop-Emeritus David Fellhauer and Rev. Patrick Knippenberg officiating. Burial with full military honors under the auspices of the Victoria Veterans Council will follow at Resurrection Cemetery .
Pallbearers will be Albert Totah, Jr., Mason Loos, Scott Razook, Bradley Razook, Matthew Razook, Christopher Razook, Jonathan Garcia, Ricky Garcia and Nicholas Brooks.
