

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 29, 2017 from 1 pm to 3 pm, followed by the funeral service at 3 pm at Trinity Lutheran Church. Reverend Barney Matocha, Pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow the funeral at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Gladiola was born in Six Mile, Texas on October 31, 1921, to Earnest Hugo and Herminia Scherer Hengst. She married Amos Truitt (A.T.) Dierlam in 1940. She was a faithful memberof Trinity Lutheran Church.Gladiola was co-owner of A.T. Dierlam Hay, Feed and Ranch Service. She was a Charter Member of the American Business Women’s Association (ABWA) and the Independent Cattleman’s Association (ICA).
Gladiola is survived by her daughter Margaret (James) Anderson of Victoria, her sons Wayne (Evelyn) Dierlam, Mark (Virginia) Dierlam, Larry (Jackie) Dierlam, Stanley (Mendy) Dierlam and David (Cathy) Dierlam all of Victoria, Step-Daughter, Dolores Dierlam Speed Paluga of Rockwall, Texas. She was preceded in death by her Husband, Parents, Grandson, Brothers, Robert and Earnest Hengst, and Sister, Viola Hengst Dierlam. Gladiola is survived by her Grandchildren, Brandyn (Chad) Sneed, Mark Clayton Dierlam, Lacey (Cody) Rosenquest, Brent (Brittanie) Dierlam all of Victoria; Bryan (Christina) Dierlam, of Washington, DC; Bradley (Allison) Dierlam of Stillwater, Oklahoma; Melisa (Scott) Richardson, and Debbie (Ben) Fraker of Houston; Tami (Jamie) Amonett of Biloxi, Mississippi; Stacey Davig of Hahira, Georgia; Morgan (Brad) Lane of McKinney, Texas; Kaley (Jonathan) Carbonaro of Wichita Falls, Texas; Charisse (Jim) Shadley of Lewisville, Texas; Keith (Cathy) Speed of Rockwall, Texas; Steven (Dena) Speed of Heath, Texas and Traci (Greg) Marion of Jupiter, Florida, 30 Great Grandchildren and 8 Great-Great Grandchildren. She is also survived by her Sister-in-Law, Corinne Reed Dierlam of Port Lavaca, Texas, numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are Bryan Dierlam, Bradley Dierlam, Mark Clayton Dierlam, Brent Dierlam, Cody Rosenquest, Chad Sneed, Jamie Amonett, Scott Richardson, Ben Fraker, Brad Lane andJonathan Carbonaro. Honorary Pallbearers are Dr. Larry Riedel, Jerry Irwin, Jesse Dale Atkinson, Don Angerstein, Jackie Beyer, Trey Bingham, Harold Baecker, Eugene Grant, John Larsen, Charles Lassman and Mike McCauley.
