On November 22nd, Gloria went home to walk with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was born January 16, 1929, to the late Louis and Louise Mike Kaleel. She lived her life like the way she left this world, ready and willing to do whatever God called her to do. She had amazing faith in her Lord and that same faith she shared with everyone she knew and every opportunity she had. This is our Mom’s greatest accomplishment in this life, the unconditional love she gave to others and her faith in God that led others to believe in him.
She cared for and loved her family and her friends more than herself. Even in the most challenging times in her life, she always found time and strength to encourage you and let you know how much she loved you and how much you are loved by God. Our mom lived out the definition of love that Paul writes about in the New Testament, she was patient and kind, she did not boast and was not prideful, never self-seeking and kept no record of any wrongdoing. She rejoiced in the truth and was always full of hope. Our mom raised her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren in the same way that she loved and because of that we are truly grateful to God for blessing us with her as our mom and grandmother.
If there was anyone who lived life to its’ fullest it was our mom. She loved her church family and was very active in Cursillo for many years. She talked about her time on many Cursillo teams as some of the best times of her life because of the opportunity she had to love and serve others. That was her mission in life, to love others more than herself. And that she did.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband, Sam H. Dick, Sr.
Survivors include her children Sam H. Dick, Jr., Valarie Ure and husband, Bruce, Mark Dick and wife, Stacye, James Dick and wife, Debbie; Grandchildren, Sam H. Dick III and wife Amy, Austin Dick, Kris Kowalik and wife Kristi, Brandi Preiss and husband Tom, Wimberly Dick, Callie Dick, Christian Dick, Lorin Dick; great-grandchildren, Bridgett Dick, Samantha Dick, Parker Preiss, Cooper Preiss and Kenley Kowalik.
