Guerrald Francis White Jr, “Geff” passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2014 in Victoria Texas surrounded by loving family and friends. Geff led a full life, born July 30, 1937 in Mountainburgh, Arkansas in a one room cabin to Guerrald White Sr and Marguerite Polk White. He grew up in Fort Smith, Arkansas and after graduating from Southside High School, attended Henderson College and The University of Arkansas. He married Dolores Spradlin of Fort Smith in 1960.
They began their life together in Houston where Geff worked for the National Cash Register Company (NCR) for many years. He also proudly served his country in the Air Force National Guard in Houston. His NCR career eventually took them to Victoria, Texas where later he was Business Manager for Gulf Bend MHMR. After his corporate experience, Geff developed his entrepreneurial skills owning and operating a successful Pre-school, a Montgomery Ward franchise, All American Award and Trophy, and managing other successful investments.
Geff was a devoted father and grandfather who would do anything for his family and others. He gave his 3 children and 9 grandchildren unconditional love and fervently supported all of their endeavors. He loved the Lord, loved to read, loved to talk and make people laugh, loved to dance, and especially enjoyed traveling the world with his wife and friends. He was not a wealthy man but he took his family many places on a nickel creating memories that we will always treasure. Geff loved his family so much and we loved him. We will miss him greatly.
