Herbert John Hanselman

Herbert John Hanselman, 92, of Victoria, passed away Thursday, April 26, 2018. He was born January 26, 1926 in Victoria to the late John and Anna Henneke Hanselman. He served his country in the United States Army during World War II and was stationed in Italy. Herbert was a mechanic who retired from Union Carbide in 1987after 30 plus years of service. He also baled hay throughout the area for many families.

Survivors include his daughter, Shirley Rader of Victoria; grandchildren, Geno Eschenburg (Tammy) of Inez and Kimberly McKittrick (Mike) of Victoria; and; six great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and special companion, Amarylis Tschirhart. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Lou Hanselman; a son, Michael Earl Hanselman; one sister and four brothers.

Visitation will be from 9-10 am Monday, April 30, 2018 at Rosewood Funeral Chapels. Funeral services will begin at 10 am with Rev. Jim Pearson officiating. Burial with full military honors under the auspices of the Victoria Veterans Council will follow in Wood Hi Cemetery.
