

Inocencia “Chanita” Guillen Herzog, age 93, passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2011. She was born December 28, 1917 in Calhoun County, Texas to the late Pedro and Erlinda Soliz Guillen. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She was a nurse’s aide and retired from Twin Pines Nursing Home. She enjoyed dancing, baking, and was a loving mother to each of her children.
She is survived by her children: Albert Robles and wife Emma, Arthur Robles and wife Dolores, Margaret Guerra and husband Steve, Mary Martinez and husband Richard, Janie De La Garza and husband Felix, Gloria Lopez and husband David, Rosie Balli and husband Sonny, Della Reyes and husband John, and Frances Albrecht; 33 grandchildren; 65 great grandchildren; and 32 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Albert Robles, Eugene Castillo, and Paul Herzog; sisters, Louise Hernandez and Mary Aguirre; and brother, Geronimo (Gerry) Guillen.
A Rosary will be recited 7:00 pm Sunday, September 18, 2011 at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel. The Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 am Monday, September 18, 2011 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Steve Guerra, Richard Martinez, Felix De La Garza, David Lopez, Sonny Balli, and John Reyes.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
