

James Alan Baker, 52, of San Fidel, New Mexico passed away on Wednesday, May 19, 2010. Alan was born on September 18, 1957 in El Campo, Texas. Alan went to school in El Campo, served in the Army, worked for Citizen's Medical Center, Victoria Fire Department and the Victoria College and most recently was employed by the PHI Air Medical at the time of his death as the Medical Educator in New Mexico.
He is survived by his loving wife; Deborah Baker of San Fidel, New Mexico; children, Patrick Becker and wife Tina of Victoria, Mary E. Becker of Victoria, Texas; brother, Robert Baker of El Campo, Texas; Grandchildren, Haley Anderson, Zachary Becker, Alec Becker, Alyssa Becker, Dakoda Burger and Allison Becker all of Victoria, Texas.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Elvin Dean Baker and Evelyn Lucille Baker.
A memorial service honoring the life of James Alan Baker will be held 10 AM Friday, May 28, 2010 at the Victoria College Auditorium.
Memorials may be made to the J. Alan Baker Scholarship Fund through the Victoria College Foundation.
Memorials may be made payable to the "Victoria College Foundation" with a notation that it is for the J. Alan Baker Memorial Scholarship Fund.

A funeral service was also held on Saturday, May 22, 2010 in San Fidel, New Mexico at the Fire and Ice Park in Grants, New Mexico. A visitation was held on Friday, May 21, 2010 from 4-7 PM in New Mexico.
