James (Jimmy) Edward Stockbauer of Victoria, TX passed away Saturday, August 7, 2021 at the age of 59 due to complications from the Covid virus. He was born August 9, 1961 in Victoria to John, Jr. and Gladys Stockbauer. Jimmy graduated from Stroman High School in 1979. He worked for the family business (Victoria Farm Equipment) since he was a teenager. Jimmy’s position was the parts manager, just ask any customer, he knew things no one else on the counter knew. The wealth of knowledge he maintained is irreplaceable and will be truly missed by all.
He enjoyed going out to the family place at Schroeder on the weekends to hog hunt and spending time with his son and daughter-in-law just hanging out. One of Jimmy’s passions was at 5:01pm, he would click onto Liberal Logic on Facebook and scroll on this for hours, enjoying his Budweiser. Another site he checked out daily was Craigslist jokes, I’m pretty sure he got dad started on this too. Jimmy had a keen sense of humor, which sometimes, you had to take with a grain of salt. You didn’t see Jimmy with out his dog Ruby, she came to work with him every day.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his father, and nephew Hunter Stockbauer. His maternal grandparents Anton and Caroline Karnowski, and his paternal grandparents John, Sr. and Tillie Stockbauer.
He is survived by his son, Stephen Stockbauer (Vicki), his brothers, John Stockbauer, III (Marty), Jeffry Stockbauer, Jerry Stockbauer (Loretta), Jason Stockbauer (Tina) and sister Jennifer Charbula (Kenny). Nieces and nephews: Dawn Carter, Candace Smith, Lacey Irby, John Stockbauer IV, Ashley Stockbauer, Garrett Stockbauer, Zane Charbula, Cole Charbula, great nieces, nephews, aunts, uncle, cousins, and his beloved dog Ruby (“Rupes” as he called her).
A visitation will be held Friday, August 13th from 5:30pm to 7:30pm at Rosewood Funeral Chapel. Masks will be required.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the South Texas Farm and Ranch Show Scholarship Fund in memory of John Stockbauer, Jr., P.O. Box 1045 Victoria, TX 77902, MD Anderson, or donor’s choice.
