John worked at DeTar hospital and was a member of the Sportsman Church.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his son Christopher Godsey of Victoria; and brother James Godsey of Colchester, Connecticut.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 10, 2014 from 6 to 8 PM at Rosewood Funeral Chapels. Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 11, 2014 at 10 AM at Rosewood Funeral Chapels with Glen Dry officiating. Private family burial will take place.
John was a very loving man and will be greatly missed.
