Johnny G. Deleon

Johnny G. DeLeon, 66, of Victoria passed away September 22, 2011. He was born in Victoria April 15, 1945, to the late Richard and Francis Garcia DeLeon. Johnny was retired from Victoria Ready Mix after many years. He was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church.

Johnny is survived by his wife, Dora Rangel DeLeon of Victoria; daughters, Barbara J. Gonzales of Edna, Vickie D. Zarate, JoAnn DeLeon and Martha Resendez all of Victoria; son, Adam Moreno of Victoria; sisters, Dolly DeLeon and Vera Martinez of Edna, Frances Mosqueda of Victoria, Peggy Kreiss and Mary Longoria of California; brothers, Margarito “Magoo” DeLeon of Edna, Richard DeLeon of Bay City and LeRoy Estrello of Dallas; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A rosary will be recited Sunday, September 25, 2011, at 7 PM at Rosewood Funeral Chapels.

Funeral services will be held at 10 am Monday, September 26, 2011, at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church with Rev. Stan DeBoe officiating. Interment will follow at the Latin Cemetery in Edna.

Pallbearers: Marty DeLeon, Arthur DeLeon, Robert DeLeon, Roland DeLeon, Ricky DeLeon and Leroy Zarate.

Honorary Pallbearers: Oscar Castillo, Erica Cavazos, Gabrielle Zarate, Dominique Zarate, Carlissa Gutierrez, Amanda Gonzales, Joseph Gonzales and Joe Gonzales IV.
