Jose "Joe" M. Sanchez

Jose “Joe” M. Sanchez, 79, of Victoria passed away on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at his home. He was born in Victoria, Texas to the late Juan and Gregoria M. Sanchez on June 21, 1942. He was a cook and waiter at Los Tios Mexican Restaurant in Houston, Texas, from where he retired.

In addition to his parents, Juan and Gregoria M. Sanchez, Joe is preceded in death by his sister, Mary Sanchez Vasquez; brothers, Juan M. Sanchez, Ben M. Sanchez, Ernest M. Sanchez, Albert M. Sanchez, and Joe Anthony Sanchez; and sisters-in-laws, Olivia Sanchez and Janie Sanchez.

Joe is survived by his children, Joe Sanchez, Jr., George Sanchez, and Freddie Sanchez; sister, Juanita “Janie” Sanchez Ortiz; brothers, David M. Sanchez and Jesse M. Sanchez and their respective wives, Yolanda Sanchez and Margaret Sanchez; ten grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. All will cherish his memory.

Celebration of Life services, including a Rosary, will be held on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at 2 p.m. at Colonial Funeral Home.
