Kenneth Wayne Gentry

Kenneth Wayne Gentry, 76, of Meyersville, passed away February 9, 2014. Kenneth was born April 24, 1937, in Victoria, Texas, to the late Walter D. and Selma Guenther Gentry. Kenneth was a graduate of Pattie Welder High School in 1955. He worked for Southern Pacific, DuPont and was in the trucking business for 30 years.

Kenneth is survived by his wife, Barbara Harvill Gentry; son, Perry Gentry of Meyersville, Texas; daughter, Dawn Euton and husband, Tim of Victoria, Texas, Sharon Bauer and husband, Chuck of Cuero, Texas; sisters, Etta Lou Champagne of Sequin, Texas; grandchildren, Eric Euton, Hayden Matejek, Crayton Matejek, Amber Euton, Kahlei Matejek; step-granddaughter, Chandra Carbonara and husband, Will and their three children, William, Arissa and Cannon;and his faithful companion, his dog, Bailey.

In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his sister, Freida O’Hara; brothers, Lee Roy, Walter Marcus and Eddie Gentry.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 13, 2014 from 6-8 PM at the Rosewood Funeral Chapels. Funeral services will be held, Friday, February 14, 2014 at 10 AM at Rosewood Funeral Chapels with Rev. Kenneth Euton officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Evergreen Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Eric Euton, Hayden Matejek, Crayton Matejek, Keith Champagne, Kyle Champagne, Marc Gentry, Gabriel Villarreal and Duane Breeden.

Honorary pallbearers will be Tim Euton, Chuck Bauer, Dr. C. Daniel Smith and Glenn Hand.

Memorial donations may be made to M.D. Anderson Hospital.
