Lee Ann Carpenter Bowen, 48, of Victoria passed away Sunday, December 13, 2009. She was born February 14, 1961, in Laredo to Jack E. and Emma Joe Caffall Carpenter. Lee Ann graduated from Industrial High School in 1980, and graduated from Wharton Jr. College in 1982 as an LVN. She married Michael Bowen in November of 1982. They lived in Austin before moving to Victoria in 2005. She was a Methodist.Survivors include her husband, Michael Bowen, and a son Colby Lee Bowen, both of Victoria; her mother, Emma Joe Wheeler of Lolita; sister, Anita Gross of New Braunfels; brother, Russell Carpenter of San Angelo; half sister, Jennifer Haschke of Port O’Connor, step-sisters, Tanya Jopling and Debbie Wheeler both of San Antonio.She was preceded in death by her brother, Clayton Carpenter, step-father, Arthur “Hoppy” Wheeler, and father, Jack E. Carpenter. A memorial service will be 2 pm Thursday, December 17, 2009, at Rosewood Funeral Chapels, Rev.
