Lupita G. Suarez

Lupita G. Suarez, 75, passed away on Friday, February 11, 2022. Visitation will be held Saturday, February 19, 2022 from 12-1:30PM at Rosewood Funeral Chapel, with a rosary beginning at 1:30PM. Funeral services will follow at 2:00PM.

A memorial mass will be held on Monday, February 21, 2022 at 10:30AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Alice, Texas. A reception will follow after the mass.

Lupita was born July 31, 1946 in Alice, Texas to Aurelia Castaneda Garcia and Pedro Garcia, Sr. She married her high school sweetheart, Anselmo Suarez, Jr., after his tour in the military. She loved spanish dancing, gardening and her grandkids. She especially enjoyed taking photos whenever she had a chance and she was always so happy. She retired from HEB after working in the bakery department for many years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She will be missed by all of her family and friends.

Lupita is survived by her husband, Anselmo Suarez, Jr.; daughter, Cynthia "Cindy" Kusak (Joey); son, Victor A. Suarez; sisters, Elisa Pena and Carmen S. Garcia; brothers, Pedro Garcia, Jr. and Juan Pablo Garcia; granddaughters, Cassandra "Cassie" Elaine Tinkey (Brandon), Sarah Joyce McClintock (Raymond), Erin Suarez and Carlee Suarez; grandsons, Joshua Brian Kusak (Nikki), Ryan Barnette (Blanca), Zachary Johnson (Santanna); great-grandchildren, Riley Richard Tinkey, Copper Maddox Tinkey, Emery Barnette, Brynlynn Johnson, Rhett Johnson and Anna Elaine Kusak.

Lupita was preceded in death by her father, Pedro Garcia, Sr.; mother, Aurelia Castaneda Garcia; and brother, Marty Garcia.
