

Margaret Bauer “Noopie” Lenz, 95, passed away Sunday, August 14, 2016. She was born in Victoria on September 22, 1920 to the late George and Adrienne Wilden Bauer. Margaret graduated from Patti Welder High School in 1938 and she was their first Band Drum Major. She was secretary to Charles Jacobson, Bardsall Oil Co.; bookkeeper for T.P. Traylor Estate; Bauer Traylor Cattle Co. and R.W. Briggs, Jr., Fordyce Co. Margaret truly loved her family, friends and especially her dogs. She had a grand champion miniature pinscher and six long coated miniature Chihuahuas. Over the past 30 years, Margaret enjoyed her beautiful Port O’Connor bay home.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Clyde E. Lenz; nieces, Barbara Bauer Briggs, Frances Bauer Wedemeier, Peggy Mickle Selby and nephew, Mickey Mickle.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents; brother, Clyde Bauer; sister, Carolyn Bauer Mickle; and nephew, Tommy Bauer.
The family will hold a visitation from 6 to 8 pm, Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at Colonial Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will be held 10:30 am on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at First Presbyterian Church.
Pallbearers are David Selby, Clyde Tyng, Randy Coward, Jack Lenz, II, Ricky Lenz and Joe Cohen.
Honorary pallbearers are Brian Wisdom, Mickey Mickle, Claude Selby, Tom Brooks, Joe Whitely, Jud Austin, Dr. Larry Riedel, Dr. Shahid Hashmi, Dan Nelsen, Emilio Flores and Dr. Walter Brzozoski.
