Margarito L. Perez Sr.

Margarito L. Perez, Sr., 73, of Victoria passed away February 9, 2014. He was born February 3, 1941, in McFaddin to the late Seferino L. and Ofelia L. Perez. Mr. Perez was retired from Victoria Machine Works after many years of service. He was a member of the Incarnate Word and Blessed Sacrament at Incarnate Word convent the Cursillistas de Cristindad and Catequeses Familia. He was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church.

Margarito is survived by his wife, Maryesther G. Perez of Victoria; daughters, Norma Schmidt and Julie Marquez of Victoria and Theresa Garcia of Houston; sons, Mario Perez and Mark Soto of Victoria, Margarito Perez, Jr. of Houston and Xavier Soto of Austin; sisters, Emilia Montelongo, Felipa Nieto, Helena Palacios and Lupe Camacho of Victoria; brothers, John Perez, Sr. and Richard R. Perez of Victoria; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Raul Perez.

Memorial services will be held at 1 pm Friday, February 14, 2014, at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.

Honorary pallbearers will be Skylar Wayne Sullivan, Duane William Sullivan, Jr. , Joel Hinojosa, Mike Ramos, Jr. and Vincent Perez.
