Marguerite "Peggy" Elizabeth Lauger

Marguerite Elizabeth (Peggy) Lauger, 91, of Victoria passed away Saturday, February 21, 2015. She was born September 2, 1923 in Reston, Virginia. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, J. W. (Jack) Lauger, her much loved son, John (Tray) Lauger, and her beloved grandson, Brian Gregory. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church and was Manager of the J. C. Penny Catalog department for 14 yrs. Peggy and Jack were active at 1st Baptist Church and enjoyed teaching the Jr. High Class. Peggy was also active in square dancing, bowling and loved to fish. She had a great love for her country, history and her home state of Virginia. Marguerite loved seeing her children and grandchildren in the Northside Christmas Pageant.

She is survived by her daughters, Debbie Maresh and husband, Dennis of Victoria, and Grace Lauger of Victoria; sons, Barry Lauger and wife, Annette of Victoria and Craig Lauger and wife, Robbie of Victoria; her nephew, Jimmy Hernholm of Longview; fifteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Rosewood Funeral Chapels Tuesday, February 24, 2015 from 6 to 8 pm. Funerals services will be held at Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at 10:00 am at Northside Baptist Church with Rev. Mickey Ewing officiating. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Corbin and Shawn Lauger, Shelby Tsujimoto, Dennis Maresh, Brian Tate and Phillip Garza.
