Marty Glenn Jacob

Marty Glenn Jacob, 58 of Victoria passed away on Monday, November 8, 2021. He was born September 8, 1963 in Victoria to Darden Glenn and Mary Louise Chamberlain Jacob. He was a handyman and was a jack of all trades. Marty graduated from Stroman High School and Sam Houston State University with a BS degree in Agricultural Economics. Marty was a member of LifePoint Church, Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association, he was on the College Rodeo Team for Sam Houston as a steer wrestler, Texas Youth Rodeo where he competed in calf roping, team roping and steer wrestling and he qualified for state in all these events.

He is survived by his daughter, Lacey Shae Bengs and husband, Brent; son, Payden Myles “Rooster” Jacob; parents, Darden and Louise Jacob; brother, Dennis Jacob and wife, Bridget; a grandson, Bonner Bengs; nephew and niece, Dawson and Bridey Jacob; close cousin, Shela Riley and best friend, Joe Lee Evans.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 22, 2021 at 10 AM at Rosewood Funeral Chapels with Pastor Chip Reynolds officiating. A reception will be held following the service in the Events Room at Rosewood Funeral Chapel followed by a private family graveside at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Lee Evans, Rodger Williams, Riley Duval, Roy Duval and Bill Duval.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First English Lutheran Church. LifePoint Church or Bluebonnet Youth Ranch.
