

Mary Esther Suarez Licerio, 64, of Victoria was called home by her Savior on Wednesday, October 17, 2012. She was born March 22, 1948, in Victoria to Abraham Suarez, Sr. of Victoria and the late Josephine Alvarado Suarez. Mary was a dedicated employee and retired from Southwestern Bell before being hired by the United States Postal Service where she worked as a clerk for over 27 years. She married her husband Emilio on June 4, 1966.
Mary is survived by her husband, Emilio Licerio, Sr. of Victoria; daughter, Jennifer Licerio Avitia and her companion, Oscar Arce of San Antonio; son, Emilio Licerio, Jr. and his companion, Angelina Licerio of Victoria; sisters, Theresa Escobar and Esperanza Suarez of Victoria, and Josie Trevino of Flower Mound; brothers, Abraham Suarez, Jr. and Cruz Suarez of Victoria; fourteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Josephine Alvarado Suarez; sister, Janie Pena; brothers, Cruzito, Armando and Adam Suarez Sr.
Visitation will begin at 5 pm and a Rosary will be recited at 7 pm Sunday, October 21, 2012, at Rosewood Funeral Chapels.
Funeral mass will be Monday, October 22, 2012, at 10 am from Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Emilio Michael Licerio, Brandon Valenzuela, Oscar G. Arce, Cruz Suarez, Abraham Suarez Jr., Adam Suarez Jr, Armando Suarez Jr., Pete Villarreal Jr. and Robert Ysaguirre Sr.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jonathan Licerio and Nicholas Avitia.
