

Mary Elizabeth Haynes completed her journey with the Lord on Sunday, February 3, 2013, at the age of 88. She was born in Dallas on February 16, 1924, to the late Mary Helen Howard & Larry M. Blackwell. Mary graduated from Austin High School in Austin in 1942. She married the love of her life Victor Emanuel Haynes on December 16, 1944. Mary was a member of the Morning Study Club of Victoria. She was a loving wife and mother, and enjoyed cooking, china painting, sewing and needlework. She enjoyed going to dances and was a wonderful hostess. She set an example for all by her graciousness and kindness. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.
She is survived by husband of 68 years, Victor Emanuel Haynes; her son, Robert Haynes of Rockport; her son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Lisa Haynes of Victoria; granddaughters, Tayler Haynes of Houston, Victoria Haynes, Christina Haynes and Elizabeth Haynes, all of Victoria.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Betty Duncan.
The family would like to give special thanks to Ofelia Diaz, Susan Vargas, and Georgie Cuellar for the attention given to Mary over the last year. We would also like to thank Victor Keefe for his spiritual guidance and the staff and nurses at DeTar Hospital along with Dr. Gustavo Sandigo for the special care given in her final days.

A time of visitation will be held from 6 to 7 pm with a Rosary to be recited at 7 pm on Tuesday, February 5, 2013, at the Rosewood Funeral Chapel.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10 am on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at the Holy Family Catholic Church with Father George Henninger officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
