Mary Jo Brandt Wood

Mary Jo Wood, 73, of Victoria passed away Sunday, April 3, 2011. She was born August 28, 1937, in DeWitt County to the late Walter L. and Annie Teschendoft Brandt. She was a retired bookkeeper and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and Baptist Temple.

She is survived by her daughter, Cindy (Mike) Richardson of Dallas; her son, Wayne (Bridgette) Wood of Weatherford; sisters, Gladys Stauss and Annie Schwin both of Goliad, and Dolores Baker of Victoria; grandchildren, Joshua Wood, Jonathon Wood, Michael Petru, Jordan Wood, Ashley Wood and Sarah Petru; step-granddaughters, Brynn Rogers and Darby Perkins.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne C. Wood; a daughter, Karen Petru; a sister, Rosa Lee Albrecht; brothers, Edwin Brandt, Herman Brandt, Wilbert Brandt and Walter Lee Brandt; a granddaughter, Johnna Elizabeth Wood.

Visitation will be from 6:00 – 7:00 pm Wednesday, April 6, 2011, at Rosewood Funeral Chapel.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 am Thursday, April 7, 2011, at Trinity Lutheran Church Chapel, Don Angerstein and Rev. Dr. Gene Rice officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Joshua Wood, Jonathon Wood, Michael Petru, Jordan Wood, Wayne Petru, Miles Stauss, Mike Abrameit and Mike Richardson.
