Metta Mae “Mitzi” Britton, 84, of Victoria passed away Monday, August 17, 2015. She was born July 1, 1931 in Ferris, Texas to the late C. C. and Juanita Carter Witherspoon. She was a receptionist at the Victoria Advocate and a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include her daughter, Cindy Tucker and husband, Jim of Victoria; son, Billy D. Wickliffe Jr. and wife, Janice, of Victoria; brothers, Wayne Witherspoon of San Antonio and Ken “Butch” Witherspoon of Ferris; six grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and six great great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at Rosewood Funeral Chapels.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Friday, August 21, 2015 at the Methodist Church in Ferris. Burial will follow in Ferris Cemetery.
