Mert, as her friends and family would call her, was preceded in death by her loving husband, Walter Halling; parents, Fred and Annie Mae Burger; brothers, Raymond and Eugene Burger; sister, Doris Mooney; and nephew, Reese Burger.
She is survived by loving nephews and nieces who will truly miss her. Mert and Walter were always the funny Aunt and Uncle with a sense of humor that would lift your spirits. She loved the outdoors, fishing, golf, friends and family. She was a very active member of the Cape Carancahua for years.
The family will have a celebration of life at a later date.
