

Oscar F. Vogt, 95, of Victoria passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2011. He was born October 31, 1916, in Victoria to the late Gus H. and Ella Korges Vogt. He served his country in the United States Army during World War II and was a D-Day survivor. Oscar worked as a manager for several lumber companies including Riddell, Zarsky and Eastend. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and a charter and lifetime member of the Boulevard Lions Club.
He is survived by a niece, Marlene Gillespie.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Earline Vogt, and a brother, Herbert G. Vogt.
Visitation will be from 5:00 – 8:00 pm Sunday, November 27, 2011, at Rosewood Funeral Chapel.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 am Monday, November 28, 2011, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Rev. Barney Matocha officiating. Burial with flag folding under the auspices of the Victoria Veterans Council will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Bob Joost, Tom Joost, Robert McCants, John Morkovsky, Doyle Volkmer, Mertice B. Boeswetter and David Huffstedler.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Victoria Boulevard Lions Club.
The family would like to offer special thanks to Mr. Vogt’s caregiver, Rose McNary.
